Emergency boxes or outfits may be secured of dealers in medical, surgical or first aid supplies, or scouts may easily pro- vide themselves with triangular and strip bandages, safety pins, plaster, etc. The International Committee and the Red Cross are arranging for small outfits or kits for group or individual use. Particulars may be secured upon application, 124 East Twenty- eighth Street, New York. The Examination* It includes questions or tests in both written and practice work. Both must be given at the one ses- sion, the written usually preceding the practice work. The stu- dent selects and ansv/ers in writing any six of the ten questions, using paper, letter size 8x11 in. ( furnished by the International Committee). This part of the examination, when perfect, is worth 60 credits. For the practice work the local instructor specifies four tests from the question paper so that as far as pos- sible no two students will have the same exercises. This prac- tice work part of the examination, when perfect, is worth 40 credits. At the top of the sheet should appear date, student's name, and the teacher's grade mark for the examination — ^both the written and practice work. The examination for both members and non- members of the Y. M. C. A. will be held by the association in case there is one in community. Dates* The official examinations are held on some specific evening in April, June, — July and August for campers, — and December. The exact days are named several weeks in advance. Special examinations at other dates may be arranged in advance and, of course, at much higher rates. No results accepted if held at other dates than those specified or previously arranged. The time required is usually less than two hours — forty-five minutes for the written and sixty minutes for the practice work — and between 6 and 11 P. M. Exact dates for the examinations may be secured from the local Y. M. C. A. See paragraph (h) be- low. G)st* Thirty-five cents (25c. to association members) for each question paper ordered. No order accepted for less than four papers. The cost of conducting the examination is much greater
