If from the Gulf States, " CahHne " for " Carolina." Only certain Europeans say " Caroleena." If from the Ohio Valley, he says " Cincinnatah " for " Cin- cinnati." If from the Middle West, he says " Mizzoura " for Mis- souri." If from the Northwest, he says " Montanna " for " Montana." If from Boston, or south of Mason and Dixon's line, he says " maw-ning " for morning." If from any northern place but Boston, he rolls the R " and says " morrrning." If from the Northern Rockies, he says Coloray-do " for Colorado." If from California, he says " Frisco " for " San Francisco." If from Los Angeles, he makes the " g " hard; otherwise, soft. If from Texas or Arizona, he calls Rio Grande " " Reeo Gran-day " ; elsewhere, " Ry-o Grand." If from Georgia, he calls it " Jo-ja." If from Maryland or the mountains of New England, he says " me-ountan " for " mountain." If from St. Louis, he calls it Saint Lou-is"; elsewhere

If from Louisiana, he says Noo Or'-lens "; elsewhere " New Or-le'ans." If from' Chicago, he says " hef " for "half" and kef" for " calf." If from Canada, he calls " Toronto " " Tranto." If from Montreal, he calls it " Monreal."
