- Councillor
- Every one in the Council is a Councillor Chief, and adds a beard to the Buffalo, using silk, wool or thread through the nostrils.
- Medicine Man
- The Medicine Man adds a criss-cross from left eye to right nostril, and right eye to left nostril. Of course if he is on the Council he also adds the beard.
- Head War Chief
- The Head Chief wears, in addition to the beard, a horned shield. On the circle of the shield is engraved the totem of the Tribe.
