How to use the template C
If ÚROP (Central Council for Eagle Feathers) officially introduces a new coup in the Roll, it will assign a new code to it.
It is used as the page name within the wiki TheWoodcraft.org. Create a new page with a corresponding code name and type or paste the current wording of the coup.
Takto vypadá text bezprostředně po nakopírování aktuálního znění činu 1I4 z el. svitku LLM, veřejně dostupného na stránkách LLM (screenshot vlevo).
To display the coup in the correct coup group (1I – Horolezectví, jeskyňářství) within our Coup Book, the template {{C}}
needs to be inserted and completed properly.
It will ensure that the coup is classified in the correct coup category and that the templates that work with coup names know where to find it.
It is not complicated.
Just focus on not classifying the coup elsewhere by mistake.
But if it does happen to you, it's not the end of the world, because it is a mistake that can be quite easily and quickly found on the coup group page.
(The template {{TBC}}
works directly with the code name of a page.)
The template {{C}}
works with 4 positional attributes.
The first three are based on the assigned coup code.
- The first attribute is the number of the Lamp that this coup belongs to, which will never be higher than 4. In the case of a degree, though, this attribute will be empty.
- The second one is the coup group letter. Again, this attribute is empty in the case of a degree.
- The third one is the serial number of the coup within this coup group. For a degree, its code name in lower-case letters is entered instead of the number.
- The fourth attribute is the coup name which needs to be kept as it is for now.
The page content could already be saved in this form, but because it is our aim to link sources too, the template {{EROLL}}
is always used after the inserted text.
It ensures (among others) that a direct link to the League Roll page where the original text comes from is generated.
{{EROLL}}
is not used for degrees, because code names of degrees are not used within the current text in the Roll of the Czech LLM (Woodcraft League).
It also does not contain all degrees that have ever been awarded in the course of history.
